TELESCOPIC AGGREGATE BAY COVERS

Bespoke retractable covers for aggregate storage bays, loading bays and industrial stockpiles. Manufactured in Yorkshire with heavy-duty galvanised steel construction. Weather protection, dust suppression and compliance with environmental regulations. Extends when needed, retracts to allow for offloading and loader access.

HOW TELESCOPIC BAY COVERS WORK

Retracted Position

Cover sections nest together at one end of the bay. Full access for loading, unloading and stockpile management with forklifts, loaders or conveyor systems.

 

Extension

Wire rope and pulley system (or manual push) extends telescopic sections along overhead rail system. Multiple sections slide out to cover full bay length.

 

  

Covered & Protected

Fully extended cover provides complete weather protection. Corrugated steel cladding sheds rainwater. Aggregates stay dry, dust suppressed, environmental compliance achieved.

 

   

Quick Retraction

When access needed, reverse the process. Cover retracts in minutes. No dismantling, no storage issues — simply slide back and lock in place.

Multi-section sliding rail system. Extends and retracts along overhead tracks. Optional wire rope and lever hoist (Tirfor/Yale type) for powered operation. Bi-directional control for positive open/close without counterweights.

Effective containment of dust emissions during storage. Achieves compliance with Environment Agency dust control requirements. Helps meet planning conditions for aggregate storage and mineral processing sites.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

FRAME CONSTRUCTION

 Galvanised mild steel box section (100mm × 50mm minimum, scaled to bay size). Welded construction throughout. Hot-dip galvanised finish. 

CLADDING

 Corrugated box profile galvanised steel sheet in a choice of standard colours(0.7mm gauge standard). Optional anti condensation drip stop panels available. 

TELESCOPIC SYSTEM

 Multi-section sliding design (typically 3-5 sections). Overhead rail system with heavy-duty rollers. Manual operation or wire rope winch system. 

OPERATION METHOD

 Manual push/pull OR wire rope and pulley cascade system. Bi-directional control for positive open/close.

Width: Up to 10m | Length: Up to 25m+ | Height: 4m - 7m (all fully bespoke to your requirements)
